LL Cool J

"Ain't Nobody" is a 1983 hit single by Rufus & Chaka Khan. It was released as a studio bonus track on the band's live album Stompin' at the Savoy. It reached number one on the U.S. R&B chart and twenty-two on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.[1] It has become one of Khan's signature songs.
Rufus keyboardist David "Hawk" Wolinski wrote the song around a repeating synthesizer loop backed by a Linn LM-1 Drum Computer. However, drummer John J.R. Robinson played real drums for the recording session. Legendary producer Quincy Jones (who had previously worked with Rufus) wanted Wolinski to give "Ain't Nobody" to Michael Jackson for the album that would become the blockbuster Thriller, but Wolinski had already promised it to producer Russ Titelman, who ultimately had the band record it as a vocal showcase for Khan.[citation needed]
The song was also included in the soundtrack of the movie Breakin'.[2]

The song's development was motivated by a sense of urgency to save the planet from destruction, and how people can enjoy themselves in the process. The writing was completed through discussions between Madonna and Timberlake about different situations, issues and relationships. According to Madonna, the song inspired her to produce the documentary I Am Because We Are (2008).

Mungo Jerry

"In the Summertime" is a song recorded in 1970 by the British pop-blues band Mungo Jerry. Written by the group's leader Ray Dorset, it celebrates the carefree days of summer. It reached Number 1 in charts around the world (including seven weeks in the UK, two weeks in Canada) and Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US. It is considered one of the highest selling singles of all time with an estimated 30 million copies sold.[1] It was also the year-end top seller of 1970 in the UK singles chart. The song took Dorset only ten minutes to compose on a second-hand Fender Stratocaster while he was taking time off work from his regular job and has been used in a campaign against drunk driving in the UK due to its lyric of "have a drink, have a drive, go out and see what you can find".[1] [2]

The Shadows

"Apache" is an instrumental written by Jerry Lordan. It has been recorded by many people, but the first released version was recorded by British group The Shadows in June 1960 and released the following month. The song topped the UK Singles Chart for five weeks.[1] In March 2005, Q magazine placed "Apache" at No.96 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.
In North America, the song is identified with Jørgen Ingmann, a jazz guitarist from Denmark. In 1961, Ingmann produced a cover version that, billed to "Jørgen Ingmann and His Guitar," made No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.9 on the US R&B chart.[2] The track reached No.1 on Canada's CHUM Chart.
A 1973 version by the Incredible Bongo Band has been called "hip-hop’s national anthem".[3] Although this version was not a hit on release, the long percussion break in the middle has been sampled countless times on hip-hop, rap and dance tracks from the 1980s.
